PHP Online Form Builder

Posted by pinoywebdev | 8/19/2009 09:00:00 PM

For my long time Canadian client, I have developed a customized online form builder. Through this, he can easily come up with online forms or the so-called ‘Contact Us’ form for every website that he creates and administers.

For forms that are simple enough having text fields, radio buttons, check boxes and dropdown boxes, this customized online form builder shall be flexible enough to build the form with a single file input formatted as follows:

form_field:::text:::required:::First Name
form_field:::text:::required:::Last Name
form_field:::radio:::required:::Gender:::Male,Female

Using this input file, the form builder shall generate a form with 2 text fields labeled as “First Name” and “Last Name” which are both required then two radio buttons labeled as “Gender” with options: ‘Male’ and ‘Female’

Work in progress here: http://tubman.ca/form/dynaform.php

I cannot give a tutorial of how the script works as this is now a property of my client.

Milestone Payments Through Escrow

Posted by pinoywebdev | 8/05/2009 10:41:00 PM

Another great feature of GetAFreelancer is that the freelancer can receive payments as progress on the project is made. The amount and time when milestone payment can be made is something that the freelancer and project owner agree on.

Milestone payment can be made through Escrow so that the amount is deposited to a 3rd party wherein, only the project owner can release it and only the freelancer can cancel it.

In GetAFreelancer, freelancer is notified when a milestone payment is deposited to Escrow such as this email:

New Milestone Payment!

USAGraphicPR0 just created a Milestone Payment of $50 for you.

Please not that this amount has not been added to your account yet.
Only employers can release this payment, and only you can cancel it.
Milestone payments system gives freelancers an assurance that service rendered is paid and in the same manner, it gives the project owner peace of mind as progress is visible as payments are made.

In Memory of President Cory Aquino

Posted by pinoywebdev | 8/03/2009 10:21:00 AM

Let me take a few days to pay tribute to the woman the entire humanity will be thankful for forever.

Her passing away is the word’s news headlines. Why not, she’s given the entire humanity a legacy it will be thankful for forever – the peaceful means of giving back freedom to the people; bloodless way of restoring democracy from years of dictatorship.

From being a plain house wife and a full time mother to her children she willingly accepted the duty to become the president of the Philippines.

I could not really speak on my own knowledge as I was only 5 years old when she took office but I am aware of what she has given back the people and how she’s led the Philippines.

One thing I like most is that since she took office till she have the post to the next president (former President Fidel Ramos) and till her death, she remained uncorrupted! How I wish this country to have leaders like President Cory.

President Cory, a leader by example. Very simple example but what I like most from government leaders; no beating of the red light. VIPs today counter the flow of traffic and they would have the rest of the motorists step aside for them to get ahead. This is true from the president down to the mayors (I guess). Those who knew President Cory, they said, it wasn’t what it was during her time – they follow traffic rules and thus, the rest of the public officials do the same.

Indeed, our life here in on earth is temporary and a chance – a chance to do good and be good. This life is a chance to be servant to others not a chance to be served by others. President Cory is a perfect example. I am sure, she has done her mission and did it very well.
